Founded in 1984 by officials of the ITT Linea 8500 "Special Systems", the division that created, among other things, the anti-intrusion systems for the 76 NATO sites in Europe, the protection of all Italian embassies abroad, our company, I&SI - INGEGNERIA & SOFTWARE INDUSTRIALE S.p.A. (Industrial Engineering and Software), is normally involved in designing, creating and installing turnkey systems, mainly for government agencies and large private companies.
Our activity is mainly in the areas of security, meteorology, flight assistance, and air traffic control (ATC), remote controls and surveillance of systems and supports for intelligent transportation services (ITS). By means of an accurate, scrupulous collaboration with the customer, the requirements for the systems are defined and the architecture and appropriate application software are designed. Determination of the requirements of individual devices; the designing of special units; eventual integration and adjustment of the system; designing the installation; setting up operation and eventual assistance: these are the phases of a process that requires strong coordination between the various company components. This is why we have created an appropriate structure consisting of head projects, system engineers, installation designers and specialists, that have produced profitable activity in the fields of study, research, and designing of special systems that uses advanced technology.

Designing, development, and production complexities have made it necessary for us to adapt I&SI's quality standards to the ISO 9001 level, recognition that was granted since 1993.
